Dozens of artists from across the globe will on Thursday gather in the Mozambiqan capital Maputo for the inaugural edition of the Maputo Global Concert.
Celebrating music and promoting cultural exchange is one of the objectives of the Maputo Global Concert, an innovative event that brings together artists from Mozambique, Tanzania, Finland and Norway.
The initiative, scheduled for 4th April at Galeria do Porto de Maputo, aims to equally bring the spirit of global artistic collaboration to the city of Maputo and, by uniting artists from different parts of the world, seeks to inspire positive social change through the arts.
Created by Mozambican musicians Timóteo Cuche and Chico Matada, both in training at European universities, this inaugural edition will be highlighted by “performances” from the artistic projects Mofitano Jam, Chico Matada Quartet & Indigo Blue.
