During the 39th General Assembly at the RDF Headquarters in Kimihurura, ZIGAMA CSS announced a remarkable surge in its net profit for the year 2023, projecting an impressive Rwf35.7 Billion
This marks a significant increase from the Rwf22.8 Billion recorded in the previous year.
Chaired by the Defence Minister, Juvenal Marizamunda, the assembly witnessed the attendance of high-profile figures, including the Minister of Internal Security, Hon. Alfred Gasana, RDF Army Chief of Staff, Maj Gen Vincent Nyakarundi, Air Force Chief of Staff Lt Gen JJ Mupenzi, heads of security organs, and select members.
Col Callixte Kalisa, the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, highlighted the cooperative’s financial performance.
He attributed the substantial rise in profits during the final quarter of 2023 to the recent sale of the cooperative’s building in Nyarugenge district and the adoption of new accounting principles that factor in profit after providing loans to clients.
With an eye toward the future, Col Kalisa outlined ZIGAMA CSS’s commitment to elevating service delivery.
The cooperative plans to inaugurate a 24/7 call center within a month, ensuring easy access to information for its members.
ZIGAMA CSS, a financial cooperative, boasts membership primarily from the country’s Security Organs, including the Rwanda Defence Force, Rwanda National Police, Rwanda Correctional Services, National Intelligence and Security Service, and Rwanda Investigation Bureau.
