Led by Acting Secretary General Emmanuel Mazimpaka, the Rwanda Red Cross (RRC) joined forces with MINEMA, UNHCR, and Save the Children to provide essential medical equipment to Kiziba camp, demonstrating a collaborative effort to enhance healthcare provisions.
The donation, comprising medicalized fridges, emergency trolleys, uniforms, bed covers, and scrubs, marks a significant stride towards improving healthcare services in the camp.
The donation handover event, graced by the presence of the Sector Agronomist of Rwankuba, representing the Executive Secretary of Rwankuba, underscored the impactful collaboration between organizations to strengthen the camp’s healthcare infrastructure.
The Rwanda Red Cross team participants included Emmanuel Mazimpaka, Acting Secretary General and Head of Communication, Humanitarian Diplomacy, and Fundraising Department; Dr. Prosper Kwihangana, Head of Healthcare; Jean Luc Tuyisenge, HP1 Project Coordinator; Mr. Thierry Uwamungu, Media Officer and Producer; Isaac Habarugira, Branch Coordinator; and Paul Rutebuka, Field Coordinator.
Acting SG Mazimpaka, while detailing the executed activities and associated budget breakdown, expressed profound gratitude for the joint initiatives of MINEMA and UNHCR, highlighting the vital role played by collective efforts in humanitarian missions.
