Police operatives are hunting for unknown assailants who gruesomely slaughtered a genocide survivor earlier today in Kigali’s district of Kicukiro.
Christine Iribagiza, of Niboyi sector was stubbed to death after attacking and seriously wounding her gatekeeper.
Her neighbours told journalists that the killers attacked the victim’s home around 9am. The killers thought the guard was dead before proceeding to kill his employer.
Police Spokesperson, ACP Theos Badege, says investigations are still going on and cannot provide more details until now, but no suspect has been identified yet.
Similar cases of genocide survivors being attacked or killed have happened almost every year during the commemoration period.
