Senate President Receives Ukrainian Ambassador to Strengthen Bilateral Ties

The President of the Senate, Dr. François Xavier Kalinda, on Monday received the Ambassador of Ukraine to Rwanda, Viacheslav Viktorovych Yatsiuk, for a high-level meeting focused on strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation between the two countries.

Their discussions centered on enhancing collaboration in key sectors such as education, agriculture, trade, and technology. Dr. Kalinda welcomed the ambassador’s visit as a step toward deepening ties and mutual understanding between Rwanda and Ukraine.

He also noted that this was Ambassador Yatsiuk’s first official visit to the Senate since assuming his diplomatic post in Rwanda, underscoring its significance in reaffirming both countries’ commitment to working closely together.

Ambassador Yatsiuk, in turn, expressed his admiration for Rwanda’s remarkable progress in development and governance.

He pledged Ukraine’s continued cooperation with Rwanda, based on shared interests and a joint commitment to building lasting peace.

The meeting reflects ongoing efforts by both nations to strengthen diplomatic and development-oriented partnerships.
