Rwandan Youth Tap into Smarter Business Tools Through Odoo Partnership

A new wave of young Rwandan entrepreneurs is turning to digital solutions to streamline and grow their businesses, thanks to a partnership between Globx Commerce Ltd and the Kenya-based Odoo team.

At a roadshow held in Kigali, dozens of aspiring business owners gathered to learn about Odoo—a user-friendly business management platform used by companies around the world. The event focused on practical ways young entrepreneurs can use technology to manage operations more efficiently, save time, and scale up without large overhead costs.

“Odoo is perfect for someone just starting out,” said Annita Mutoni from Globx Commerce Ltd, which serves as Odoo’s official partner in Rwanda. “You don’t need a big budget or a tech background. It gives young people real control over their businesses from day one.”

Odoo combines core business functions—such as sales, accounting, inventory, human resources, and marketing—into one simple dashboard.

The platform allows users to stay on top of their operations without juggling multiple systems or spreadsheets.

The roadshow wasn’t just about showcasing software. It was a hands-on learning experience, where participants got to test the tools, ask questions, and get tailored advice from Odoo experts who had flown in from Kenya to support the event.

Mutoni said the aim is to help Rwandan youth think beyond traditional ways of doing business: “We want young people to see that technology isn’t out of reach. It’s something they can use every day to work smarter, not harder.”

The initiative fits into Rwanda’s national push to promote digital literacy, entrepreneurship, and job creation among the youth.

By making platforms like Odoo more accessible, Globx hopes to inspire a new generation of business leaders who are tech-savvy and ready to compete regionally and globally.

Participants left the event energized.

“I run a small clothing business, and keeping track of inventory has always been a headache,” said one attendee. “Now I know I can do everything from my phone or laptop without spending a fortune.”

Globx Commerce is offering ongoing support to those interested in adopting the platform, including onboarding, training, and technical assistance.

“This is more than software,” Mutoni said. “It’s about building confidence in young entrepreneurs and giving them tools that can grow with them.”
