Reports alleging secret talks between Israeli officials and Rwanda and Chad for the relocation of Palestinians from Gaza have been categorically denied by the Rwandan government.
Yolande Makolo, the Government Spokesperson, clarified, “This is NOT true. Rwanda is not involved in any such talks.”
The Israel Embassy in Kigali, aware of the claims, spoke to Taarifa on Friday evening, dismissing the reports.
The Embassy stated that it had not received any official communication regarding such discussions.
It emphasized that if the news were true, it would have been officially announced and covered by mainstream media, including government channels.
Additionally, the Embassy explicitly addressed the rumors suggesting that there were discussions about relocating refugees to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
The Embassy confirmed that these claims are also false, adding another layer of clarification to the ongoing speculations.
The swift response from both the Rwandan government and the Israel Embassy in Kigali underscores the commitment to transparent communication and dispelling misinformation.
In the context of the sensitive nature of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, such reports can trigger concerns and speculations.
However, the joint denial by Rwandan officials and the Israel Embassy aims to put an end to the unfounded claims, emphasizing the importance of accurate and verified information in diplomatic matters.
As of now, there is no credible evidence supporting the claims of secret talks between Rwanda, Chad, and Israel on the relocation of Palestinians from Gaza.
