Rwanda’s Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Rtrd Gen James Kabarebe, on Monday received Ambassador Philipp Stalder, Head of the Africa Division at Switzerland’s Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, for a high-level meeting focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation.
The two officials engaged in productive discussions centered on expanding collaboration between Rwanda and Switzerland across key development sectors.
Among the priorities highlighted were health, technical and vocational education and training (TVET), and affordable housing.
The meeting reflects Rwanda’s continued efforts to cultivate strong partnerships with European nations that share its development goals and policy values.
Switzerland has maintained a longstanding engagement in Rwanda, particularly in support of public health initiatives and education.
Both parties expressed a shared commitment to deepening their cooperation, ensuring that joint initiatives yield tangible benefits for citizens of both nations.
The visit by Ambassador Stalder is part of broader Swiss efforts to reinforce its diplomatic and development presence across the African continent.
Further discussions and follow-up actions are expected to be announced in the coming months as the two countries look to translate strategic dialogue into long-term, impactful programs.
