Pepiniere FC are in big trouble, just nine points separate the local national bottom team from second bottom side Gicumbi whose poor form has seen them dragged back into the relegation scrap at 21 points.
Pepiniere cannot find themselves out of the struggle, which is at the wrong end of the table after joining their top-flight season and over the weekend.
It even became worse when they suffered the 17-league defeat of the season after losing 2-1 to AS Kigali last Saturday in the Match Day 25.
With five fixtures left on their schedule and two wins this season, Heach Coach Jean Paul Muhoza seems to have run out of options much as he still thinks his side can still escape relegation if they can win all the remaining league matches.
“In football, it is not over not until it’s over, we still have a chance to make it out of this zone since we have five matches left, however that means we need to work hard to escape the drop,” he told Taarifa.
Muhoza who is demanding more from his players has said Pepiniere troubles are attributed to the use of young and inexperienced squad even with the signing of experience Kabura Muhammed from AS Kigali, Hitman Omari (former Atraco FC), Hussein Darab (Muhanga) and Michel Baracka (free agent) the four have not made much of that expected impact for coach Muhonza.
As per the standing on the table, the Ruyenzi based club has mathematically booked their site to the second division next season however that is if they fail to win their last next four games.
The newly promoted topflight team will face table leaders Rayon Sports in their next there next fixture which is a tough game to win all three points given the fact that Coach Juma Masudi’s team is on form.
They will later face Bugesera FC away at Nyamata before they battle Amagaju and Gicumbi in their last two fixtures.
It is completely a different story for Gicumbi FC who lie in 2nd bottom position with nine points separating them from Pepiniere FC. They have won five matches in 24 fixtures and lost 13.
Gicumbi FC have 21 points three point behind Marines in the third last position on the table. Both clubs are under pressure just like Kiyovu (4th bottom) with 25 and Amagaju (5th bottom) with 26 points Both clubs are separated by a mere point.
