In a moving ceremony marking the unveiling of the book “Accounts of Genocide Survivors of Tutsis in Gikongoro Prefecture,” Minister of National Unity and Civic Engagement (MINUBUMWE), Dr. Jean Damascene Bizimana, highlighted the pivotal role of survivor testimonies in the quest for justice, transcending borders to uphold accountability and historical truth.
He commended authors Florence Prudhomme and Michelle Muller for their unwavering dedication to documenting and sharing the narratives of genocide survivors over the past two decades, saying that, “We are indebted to Florence Prudhomme and Michelle Muller for their tireless efforts in preserving the voices of survivors.”
