Three people died on the spot in the capital Goma after assassins on a motorcycle shot dead three people in an SUV just at the gate of the North Kivu Military Governor entrance.
The assassins immediately fled the scene on Wednesday evening at the entrance of the Governor’s office along RN2, in front of the Colombe radio station.
As they fled, they fired several bullets which hit another civilian and also died on the spot.
“I saw three lifeless bodies in the jeep. These people, including a woman and two men, were shattered with bullets by armed assassins. By 6 p.m. local time, the jeep with shattered windows was still at the scene of the crime before security services arrived for investigations,” according to an eyewitness.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday night in Goma, 3 more young people were shot dead in a restaurant along Kavumu Avenue, in the Majengo district (in Karisimbi commune).
The suspected gunman according to eyewitnesses was wearing a military uniform similar to one of the Republican Guard soldiers.
