Kigali City Mayor, Pudence Rubingisa, attended the launch of the African Cities Water Adaptation Platform (ACWA) and the announcement of African Cities Water Adaptation Fund in Egypt at Cop27.
The City of Kigali is one of 100 African Cities whose transformative urban water resilience actions will be financed by ACWA Fund by 2032.
Rubingisa highlighted the need for cities to invest efforts in building strategic partnerships with potential dvpt partners who can provide financial and technical support to mobilize resources and activate both public and private climate funding mechanisms.
