The Commonwealth Entreprise and Investment Council (CWEIC), has appointed Dr. Diane Karusisi, CEO of Bank of Kigali, to it’s Advisory Council.
CWEIC is a commercial, not-for-profit membership organisation with an official mandate from the Commonwealth Heads of Government to facilitate trade and investment throughout the Commonwealth member nations.
“We are delighted to announce our newest strategic partner, the Bank of Kigali and welcome Dr Diana Karusisi to the Global Advisory Council,” the CWEIC said on Wednesday.
The role of CWEIC is to use the convening power and trusted network of the Commonwealth, which is led by His Majesty The King, to drive trade and investment.
Bank of Kigali is the largest commercial bank in Rwanda. It’s growth over the last five decades is a story of resilience, hard work and strong partnerships based on Rwandan values.
They have won several back-to-back international and regional “Best Bank in Rwanda” awards.
Under Dr. Karusisi’s leadership, Bank of Kigali has gone through an extensive digital transformation journey to position the bank as the leader in digital banking and other innovations.
She is also a seasoned economist who has held several leadership positions prior.
