A group of 65 youth from the Diaspora paid a courtesy call to the RPF-Inkotanyi Secretary General, Hon. Wellars Gasamagera, at the Party headquarters in Rusororo on Sunday.
Interacting with the youth who are drawn from at least 15 countries, SG Gasamagera explained the origin and mission of RPF-Inkotanyi in the liberation struggle and the effort in rebuilding the country in the aftermath of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.
The SG also explained the structural organization of the party and its people-centered approach to governance which has informed Rwanda’s development vision.
“What has sustained RPF-Inkotanyi thus far is the discipline and resilience that characterize its members, consistency in driving democracy, and strict adherence to the party’s core values,” he said.
He added that, “Our approach to governance is not the winner takes all but the winner shares, that’s our way of democracy. Consensus in key.”
Gasamagera implored the youth to be active agents of Rwanda’s transformation in every thing they do and use their skills in their different areas of expertise, urging them to be good ambassadors of their country in the respective countries where they live.
Meanwhile, the 65 youths visited RDF Headquarters on Friday and were received on behalf of the Chief of Defence Staff, by Brig Gen Ronald Rwivanga, the Defence and Military Spokesperson and Lt Col Vincent Mugisha, Head of Civil Military Relations Department.
