Nigerian singer and songwriter, David Adedeji Adeleke, known as Davido is in Rwanda ahead of his performance at the Giants of Africa Festival Closing Concert scheduled for Saturday.
Upon arrival in Rwanda, Davido met with President Paul Kagame at Village Urugwiro.
This year, the Giants of Africa is marking its 20th anniversary. To celebrate, ‘we are bringing together youth from 16 of the countries we’ve visited for the inaugural Giants of Africa Festival in Kigali, Rwanda.’
The week-long celebration will use basketball as a tool to educate and empower African youth to dream big.
The week-long basketball camp and tournament will culminate with a Championship Game & All-Star Competition.
According to organisers, the closing concert will also feature an incredible lineup of internationally acclaimed artists and performers.
Afrobeats icon Davido, fresh off the success of his fourth studio album, will grace the stage with his infectious energy and magnetic stage presence. Joining him is Tiwa Savage, the Nigerian singer-songwriter and actress known as the Queen of Afrobeats.Rwanda’s Bruce Melodie is also lined up for this concert.
