Kinshasa has threatened that if its candidate Juliana Lumumba doesn’t win, DRC will walk out of the organisation.

Diplomatic sources argue that as the Phnom Penh summit approaches, Paris is stepping up contacts with Kinshasa and Kigali.

President Tshisekedi has sent a 100-strong delegation in advance contravening the rules.

OIF rules stipulate that participating presidents are entitled to only 3 accompanying persons in the room.

Organisers in Phnom Penh are wondering what a delegation of 100 Congolese officials is going to do.
