Rwandan fintech startup PACIN has secured $10,000 in seed funding at the AI Ventures Accelerator (AIVA) Demo Day in Gurugram, India, to support the development and testing of its technology designed to expand access to credit for small businesses.
Founded by Rwandan entrepreneur Amen Divine Ikamba, PACIN was among the winning ventures selected from the accelerator’s inaugural 2026 cohort of 22 founders.
The six-month programme concluded with a Demo Day held from October 4 to 7, bringing together entrepreneurs, investors, mentors and industry leaders to showcase emerging technologies and business solutions.
PACIN develops technology that enables lenders to assess borrowers using mobile money transactions and other financial data, helping individuals and small businesses without conventional credit histories demonstrate their ability to repay loans.
The funding will help the startup transition from product development to testing, allowing it to evaluate its technology and prepare for wider adoption.
The company is also seeking partnerships with banks, microfinance institutions, other lenders and mobile money providers to integrate its solution into existing financial services.
Ikamba said the funding would support the next stage of the startup’s development as it works towards making its technology ready for practical use.
By using alternative financial data to assess creditworthiness, PACIN aims to address a major barrier facing small businesses and individuals who struggle to access loans because they lack formal credit records.
The startup’s approach could help financial institutions reach underserved borrowers while providing small businesses with additional opportunities to secure financing for growth and operations.
