A fire broke out on Friday morning at the roof of Tic Tac Restaurant, located in Kacyiru, near the United Kingdom Embassy in Kigali.
The blaze affected part of the restaurant’s roofing structure, prompting an immediate response from the Rwanda National Police Fire and Rescue Brigade.
Firefighters arrived promptly at the scene and successfully contained the fire before it could spread further or cause extensive damage to the property.
Authorities confirmed that no fatalities or injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
Staff members and people in the vicinity were safely evacuated, and the situation was brought under control within a short period.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing smoke rising from the building before emergency responders arrived and began firefighting operations.
The cause of the fire had not yet been officially established by the time of publication, and investigations are expected to determine the origin of the incident.
The swift intervention by the fire brigade is credited with preventing significant losses and ensuring the safety of nearby businesses and residents in the busy Kacyiru neighborhood.
