President of Rwanda Paul Kagame has begun an official working visit to Botswana, where he was received by his counterpart Duma Boko.

The visit aims to further strengthen the already strong ties between the two nations.

The trip follows the second session of the Rwanda–Botswana Joint Permanent Commission for Cooperation (JPCC), which reviewed progress in bilateral relations and outlined new strategies to enhance collaboration.

Key expectations from the visit include:

Expanding trade and investment opportunities

Strengthening cooperation in technology and agriculture

Enhancing partnerships in education and skills development

Deepening collaboration in security and diplomacy.

Analysts suggest the visit could result in new agreements that will boost economic growth and reinforce long-term cooperation between the two countries.
