About 81370 Russian troops have so far been killed in their special operation in Ukraine since Februrary according to figures provided by Kyiv government mouth piece.
The Kyivpost which provides daily updates on Russian losses,also claims that since the war begun, Russia has lost a total of 2848 combat tanks, 278 aircraft, 261 helicopters,16 battle ships,1839 artillery units and a massive 5748 armed vehicles.
According to military sources on ground, the Ukrainian troops are making major counter offensives which has enabled them to push Russian troops out of occupied areas. The Russians also argue they have made tactical withdrawals from Kherson city they had captured right at start of this operation in February.
Meanwhile, the war in Ukraine is expected to dominate the G20 summit scheduled in Bali, indonesia.
France’s President Emmanuel Macron will urge his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping to “pressure” Russia to return to the negotiating table over the war in Ukraine, a French official said Monday.
Macron will meet the Chinese leader early Tuesday before the opening of the G20 summit, where Russia’s President Vladimir Putin — is not attending.
Macron dined Monday night with leaders from South Africa, Argentina, Rwanda, Senegal and Cambodia, as well as Mexico’s top diplomat.
They “called for a G20 summit of solidarity in the face of the war’s profound economic, food and energy consequences,” the official said.
