A total of 21 congolese civilians have been executed by the Ugandan Allied Democratic Front (ADF) rebels in the chiefdom of Walese Vonkutu in Ituri according to CRDH a local Human rights group.
The CRDH stands for the Convention for the Respect of Human Rights.
The CRDH revealed that the victims were first kidnapped and taken hostage in Eringeti in North Kivu on the border with the Luna trading center in Ituri. They were taken to the bush by their captors before being executed in Mutuwey.
According to the Convention for the Respect of Human Rights (CRDH), 17 bodies of victims were buried Tuesday on the spot in Mutuwey and three others repatriated to Eringeti to the respective families for burial.
The CRDH however welcomed the “Shujaa” operations in this region during which the enemy fled to the East.
In addition, the civil society has sent a message of distress and wishes that these operations can continue towards the west side to track down these ADF in their hiding place.
The Convention for the Respect of Human Rights (CRDH) has invited the civilian population not to frequent the areas where the enemy has taken its destination for the moment.
