An informal meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has begun at the presidential residence in Novo-Ogaryovo .
As the Russian president said, the heads of state “will dine, sit down, spend the evening together, and discuss all current issues.”
Mr. Putin noted the development of relations between Moscow and Abu Dhabi in all areas.
He noted the threefold increase in trade turnover between the countries over the past three years.
At the same time, the Russian leader noted a decrease in trade turnover, which will be a subject for discussion at the level of intergovernmental commissions.
The President also spoke about the implementation of 60 joint projects through sovereign funds.
“Tourist exchanges are growing. We pay a lot of attention to issues of humanitarian cooperation, and we hold culture days. The necessary attention is paid to education issues,” Mr. Putin concluded.
The official program between the representatives of the countries is scheduled for Monday, October 21.
The presidents, with the participation of delegations, will discuss bilateral issues and international affairs.
In particular, it is planned to discuss the situation in the Middle East.
The UAE President will also take part in the events of the BRICS summit in Kazan from October 22 to 24.
