Tanzania has been selected to host the forthcoming AGRF, Africa Food Systems Forum in 2023 as announced on the sidelines of the ongoing US-Africa Leaders summit in Washington DC.
Meanwhile, Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRF) is rebranding effective next year.
The organisation,AGRF, seeks to transform African agriculture from a subsistence model to strong businesses that improve the livelihoods of the continent’s farming households.
From January 2023, the acronym AGRF will be dropped, and the forum will remain Africa’s Food Systems Forum.
At the heart of the rebrand is a desire to evolve from an annual event to a platform of platforms.
The AGRF rebrand is a call to action for public and private sectors to mobilise the resources, actions, and commitments required to impact the 2030 agenda to enable Africa to feed itself.
