President Paul Kagame has hinted on relaxing on height requirements to enable shorter Rwandans to join the Rwanda Defence Force.
The President was responding to a concern raised by one of the trainees at the national Civic training centre at NKumba who requested the President to make it easy for shorter people to Join the military.
President Kagame was officiating at the closing ceremony of the 13th Itorero Indangamirwa, a civic training for youth at the National Ubutore Development Center (NUDC) – Nkumba, Burera District.
A total of 412 youth underwent civic training and basic military training for close to two months. Indangamirwa 13 aims to promote the culture of patriotism, unity, integrity, and hard work among Rwandan youth.
The trainees included youth from the diaspora, graduates from secondary schools in Rwanda, as well as youth leaders, entrepreneurs, and the best performers from the latest Urugerero.
