Rwanda’s Men’s Sitting Volleyball Team Books Spot at 2026 World Championship

Rwanda’s men’s sitting volleyball team has advanced to the final of the 2024 Africa Sitting Volleyball Championship in emphatic style, defeating Morocco 3–0 (25–18, 25–17, 25–17) in a commanding semifinal performance.

With the straight-sets victory, Rwanda not only secured a place in the continental final but also earned a coveted qualification ticket to the 2026 World Sitting Volleyball Championship, which will take place in China.

The team’s tactical discipline, defensive solidity, and sharp attacking play proved too strong for Morocco, as Rwanda maintained control throughout the match. This milestone continues the country’s strong tradition in sitting volleyball and highlights Rwanda’s growing reputation on the international stage in para-sports.

The Rwanda Volleyball Federation and supporters nationwide have hailed the team’s performance as a proud moment for Rwandan sport.

The team now turns its attention to the Africa Championship final, aiming to cap off their campaign with a title.
