Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Olivier Nduhungirehe, is currently in Seoul, where he met with Cho Tae-yul, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea.
Their discussions centered on strengthening the existing partnerships between the two countries and exploring new avenues for cooperation.
During his visit, Nduhungirehe is also attending the “Responsible Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the Military Domain Summit” (REAIM), which is being held in Seoul.
This global summit brings together government officials, international organizations, and industry leaders to address the ethical, legal, and technical challenges associated with the integration of AI in military systems.
The discussions between Nduhungirehe and Cho Tae-yul included how Rwanda and South Korea can collaborate on emerging technologies and their applications in defense and security.
The REAIM Summit, which focuses on the responsible development and deployment of AI in military contexts, provided a relevant backdrop for these discussions, highlighting both countries’ interest in advancing their technological capabilities while ensuring ethical standards.
The meeting and the summit reflect a broader commitment to enhancing bilateral relations and leveraging technological advancements for mutual benefit.
As Rwanda and South Korea continue to explore new areas of cooperation, both nations aim to strengthen their strategic partnership and address global challenges through innovative solutions.
