On Tuesday, community assemblies were held across Rwanda, focusing on security, hygiene, and addressing pressing social challenges. These gatherings, attended by residents and local leaders, provided a platform to discuss strategies for fostering unity and sustainable development.
In Kamonyi District’s Gacurabwenge Sector, Minister Patrice Mugenzi joined residents, while State Minister Marie Solange Kayisire participated in a similar assembly in Kigali Sector, Nyarugenge District. Both leaders stressed the importance of collective responsibility in promoting safety and progress.
Key messages included the need for citizens to uphold security, prioritize cleanliness, and reject genocide ideology. Families were urged to resolve domestic disputes, provide proper care for children, and prevent homelessness by promoting responsible parenting.
Additionally, attendees were reminded to respect regulations governing places of worship, particularly churches that remain closed. Leaders emphasized avoiding unauthorized worship and adhering to the established guidelines.
These assemblies highlighted the government’s commitment to empowering citizens to take an active role in their communities, contributing to Rwanda’s broader development goals.
