Uwizeye Esther, 32, a Rwandan national, has suddenly suffered a mental breakdown in the Ugandan capital, Kampala as she was waiting to travel to Rwanda.
Uwizeye, a resident of Rusizi district according to details in her Rwandan Passport was travelling from Kenya via Kampala enroute to Rwanda.
According to those that were travelling with her aboard the Modern Coach bus. Uwizeye cleared through the Kenya-Uganda border while she was a very mentally stable person. However, after reaching Kampala at the Bus terminal, “she ran mad”, according to eyewitnesses.
Uwizeye has been seen criss-crossing streets as motorists continue to dodge her in an attempt to avoid knocking her down. She is also carrying a baby aged about five months.
By press time, Taarifa had notified authorities at the Rwandan High Commission in Uganda who said “we’re doing everything possible to handle the matter.”
