Rwanda Reaffirms Commitment to Stronger Ties with the U.S. Under New Administration

Rwanda has pledged to deepen its partnership with the United States under the new administration, reaffirming its commitment to collaboration and friendship. The announcement was made during a high-profile reception hosted by the Rwandan Embassy in the U.S. and Ambassador Mathilde Mukantabana, in collaboration with former U.S. National Security Advisor Robert C. O’Brien.

The event, held in Washington, D.C., brought together members of Congress, officials from the incoming administration, the diplomatic corps, and the business community. Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Olivier Nduhungirehe, addressed the large gathering, emphasizing the importance of the U.S.-Rwanda partnership.

“Rwanda is committed to further strengthening its relations with the United States of America under the Trump Administration,” said Minister Nduhungirehe, thanking Ambassador Mukantabana and O’Brien for co-organizing the event.

The reception served as an opportunity to celebrate the incoming U.S. administration while highlighting Rwanda’s readiness to engage with global partners on shared goals, including trade, security, and development.

This event reflects Rwanda’s ongoing efforts to enhance its diplomatic and economic ties with the United States, signaling a strong commitment to mutual growth and cooperation.
