Kigali – This morning, the Inspector General of Rwanda National Police (RNP), CG Felix Namuhoranye, hosted Ambassador Wang Xuekun, the outgoing Chinese envoy to Rwanda, at the RNP headquarters in Kacyiru.
The meeting focused on strengthening existing cooperation between Rwanda and China’s law enforcement agencies, particularly within the framework of regional security collaboration, including the Eastern Africa Police Chiefs Cooperation Organization (EAPCCO).
China has been a key partner in enhancing Rwanda’s security sector through various initiatives, including capacity building, equipment support, and technical assistance.
Ambassador Wang Xuekun expressed appreciation for the strong partnership between the two nations, while CG Namuhoranye reaffirmed Rwanda’s commitment to continued collaboration in law enforcement and security matters.
The visit marked the ambassador’s farewell engagement with Rwanda National Police, as he concludes his diplomatic mission in the country.
