In a display of continental collaboration, Friday April 19 witnessed a convergence of esteemed figures at a media event in Cairo, Egypt, heralding the imminent commencement of the Basketball Africa League (BAL) Season 4 Nile Conference.
Among the luminaries were H.E. Dan Munyuza, the Rwandan Ambassador to Egypt, Amadou Gallo Fall, President of the BAL, and Clare Akamanzi, CEO of NBA Africa, alongside other distinguished officials.
The event served as a precursor to the electrifying basketball action set to unfold this weekend, as teams from across Africa vie for supremacy on the court.
Ambassador Munyuza, representing Rwanda in Egypt, seized the opportunity to underscore Rwanda’s unwavering commitment to fostering the growth of basketball across the continent through its multi-year partnership with the BAL.
Speaking passionately about Rwanda’s pivotal role as a Founding and Host Partner of the BAL, Ambassador Munyuza extended a heartfelt invitation to basketball enthusiasts and sports aficionados alike to join in the excitement of this season’s playoffs and finals, slated to take place in Kigali in May 2024.
He emphasized Rwanda’s dedication to providing a world-class experience for players, fans, and visitors, showcasing the country’s burgeoning reputation as a premier destination for sporting events.
