Rwanda Defence Force Enrolls More Soldiers Into The Force

The Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) has welcomed a new cohort of soldiers after their completion of an extensive seven-month military training program at the Basic Military Training Centre – Nasho, in Kirehe District.

These newly trained men and women demonstrated their proficiency in arms handling and military drills to the RDF leadership as part of their formal induction into the force.

The ceremony, overseen by RDF Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Lt Gen Mubarakh MUGANGA, acting on behalf of President Paul Kagame, the Commander-in-Chief of the Rwanda Defence Force, marked the official enrollment of these graduates.

During his address, Lt Gen MUGANGA extended congratulations to the new soldiers, urging them to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during their training to defend their nation.

“Congratulations on this significant achievement. The knowledge gained here will empower you to execute RDF duties diligently while upholding discipline. We appreciate your decision to join RDF and serve your country,” he emphasized on behalf of the Commander-in-Chief and the RDF at large.

The continuous recruitment and assimilation of new soldiers remain an essential aspect of the RDF’s commitment to sustaining operational readiness for their defense responsibilities.
