Rwanda Air Force Officials Attend 2024 African Air Forces Forum in Ethiopia

Brigadier General Godfrey Gasana, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Rwanda Air Force, and Lt. Colonel David Sangani, Rwanda’s Military Attaché to Ethiopia, are representing Rwanda at the 2024 African Air Forces Forum held in Bishoftu, Ethiopia, from November 27 to 29.

The forum brings together senior military officials, air force leaders, and attachés from across Africa under the theme “Cooperation to Tackle Common Challenges.” The gathering aims to strengthen collaboration among African air forces to address shared security issues, enhance operational capabilities, and foster unity in response to regional threats.

Brigadier General Gasana emphasized the importance of cooperation among African nations in defense and air force operations, stating, “By working together, we can enhance our capabilities and better respond to emerging threats.”

The forum provides a platform for African nations to share best practices, showcase advancements in air force technology, and explore joint missions and training programs. This collaboration is crucial for responding effectively to the complex security challenges facing the continent.
