Russian Troops Get Gepard Drones With ‘Blind’ Takeoff Capability

More than 2000 Gepard Kamikaze drones with unprecedented ‘blind’ take-off capability have been delivered to Russian troops on the frontline in Ukraine ushering in a new era of electronic warfare.

The Blind take off capability feature halts video transmission during launch phase and relies solely on onboard sensors and instruments.

Another Batch of about 2500 Gepard Kamikaze drones are scheduled for delivery to the Russian troops later this year according to the manufacturer.

Largest known Russian drone attack

Following peace talks on Friday in Instanbul, Turkey, Russia launched the largest known drone attack inside Ukraine targeting the Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions.
