A new era of basketball has dawned in Rubavu as a state-of-the-art basketball court was officially unveiled today.
This significant milestone is the result of a collaboration between Giants of Africa, the Rwandan Basketball Federation (FERWABA), the Ministry of Sports, and Rubavu District.
The modern facility is set to become a hub for youth empowerment and sports development in the region, providing young athletes with a high-quality space to nurture their talents.
It will also serve as a platform for athletic excellence, giving local players the opportunity to elevate their game and inspire future generations.
“This court represents more than just a place to play basketball,” said a representative from Giants of Africa.
“It symbolizes opportunity, growth, and the potential for young people in Rubavu to dream big and reach new heights in sports and beyond.”
The initiative aligns with the broader goals of fostering talent and promoting physical education across the country.
With the support of FERWABA, the Ministry of Sports, and local leadership, the court is expected to host various community events, basketball clinics, and tournaments that will further cultivate the sport in the region.
