The Moroccan city of Zagora will host the 10th edition of the international festival of storytelling and popular arts from April 16 to 20.
This edition will feature the participation of a select group of prominent storytellers, artists, and folklore groups from Morocco, Mexico, Bologna, Bulgaria, Spain, France, Italy, and Turkiye.
The festival will feature individual and group storytelling and folk art performances, in addition to special festive events for children to encourage creativity, as well as workshops on physical expression and storytelling.
The scientific seminar for this edition will be titled “Heritage and Cultural and Creative Industries” and will be led by academics and university researchers, as part of the festival’s openness to questions of heritage at its intersection with cultural and creative industries.
The festival will kick off with an artistic carnival featuring local and international art groups roaming the city’s streets, to be followed by a diverse program honoring local and international artists, covering the city’s squares, oasis villages, and the city’s open-air park platform.
