The FIBA 3×3 U23 World Cup 2024 officially kicked off in Ulan Bator, the capital of Mongolia, on Wednesday, with 20 men’s and 20 women’s teams from around the world competing for top honors.
Teams from regions including China, France, the United States, Germany, Argentina, and Kenya are taking part in the fifth edition of this prestigious youth tournament.
The competition, which will run until Sunday, promises thrilling basketball action in the central square of the Mongolian capital.
From East Africa, Kenya will field a team of 10 players—five in each gender—in the five-day event which ends on Sunday.
Kenya will face Lithuania, Latvia, Chile and the USA in Pool ‘D’ while Pool ‘A’ will pit France against Egypt, Spain, Ukraine and Algeria.
China, Netherlands, Mongolia, Japan, and Benin will form Pool ‘B” while Pool C comprises Germany, Israel, Italy, New Zealand and Argentina.
