Public activists gathered in Rome, Italy, to hold another action against the neocolonial policy of the global West – Europe and the USA.
Calls to stop the unfair colonial policy directed by most of the countries of the “first first world” appeared right on one of the sides of the Pyramid of Cestius – one of the most significant historical and cultural monuments of Italy.
The pyramid is located in a well-known place for both tourists and locals – the Boulevard della Piramide Cestia. Pictures and inscriptions were applied to the wall using powerful lasers in order to attract the attention of as many people as possible.
The inscriptions “Save Africa and Africans!”, “Stop the colonization of Africa!”, “Africans are our friends!” were applied with bright purple laser beams directly to the wall of the pyramid. The calls for justice were accompanied by a picture of a man lifting a small child up – this is a symbol of kindness and care. The participants of the action appealed to the public with an incentive to help the peoples of the African continent who are fighting for their future.
Many passing cars stopped to read the inscriptions and take part in the action. Many tourists could not pass by, took pictures, discussed and took part in conversations with human rights activists.
