President Paul Kagame of Rwanda is in Singapore for a week-long working visit where he will also be attending the Forum of Small States (FOSS).
According to singapore government, President Kagame will meet President Tharman Shanmugaratnam and Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Lawrence Wong.
The Rwandan leader will also be hosted to a meal by Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong. He will also have discussions with Minister for Finance, Lawrence Wong.
These high-level meetings will focus on enhancing bilateral ties and exploring further areas of collaboration.
The FOSS gathering plays a vital role in promoting the interests of smaller nations while supporting a robust multilateral system.
Kagame was last in Singapore in September 2022 and is expected to further deepen the existing cooperation between Rwanda and Singapore.
“As fellow members of the Forum of Small States (FOSS), Singapore and Rwanda work closely together to advance the interests of small nations and to strengthen the multilateral system,” Singapore Foreign Affairs Ministry said.
