J.P.Morgan Chase & Co., an American multinational financial services company headquartered in New York City has entered the East African Market according to emerging details.
Daniel Zelikow, the vice-chairman and global head of J.P. Morgan Public Sector Group is currently in Kenya where he held talks with President Ruto William.
“We discussed the revision of development financing to be more responsive to climate change,” President Ruto said on Tuesday.
While welcoming the firm’s expertise in environmental risks, President Ruto indicated that this will help Kenya to sustainably confront the climate change crisis.
J.P. Morgan also operates a premier investment bank in the South African market. Today, the firm’s footprint includes Cape Town and Johannesburg, where it has a full banking license. J.P. Morgan is also present in Nigeria.
