Irembo, a Rwandan software company that develops platforms to help governments and companies, has partnered with Guinea to digitize their services.
Rwanda’s delegation, led by the Rwanda Information Society Authority (RISA), participated in the Republic of Guinea’s ICT Week, a prestigious three-day event held from June 14 to June 16.
The gathering served as a platform for influential figures from the ICT sector across Africa to convene and exchange ideas.
The delegation comprised representatives from Rwanda Cooperation Initiative, Irembo, QT Software, Pivot Access, and RSwitch, all of whom actively engaged in a range of activities during the ICT Week, including exhibitions, panel discussions, bilateral meetings, and working sessions.

These platforms facilitated meaningful discussions, fostering the exchange of ideas and exploration of potential partnerships.
Of particular significance, two MoUs were signed during the event.
One MoU focused on procurement collaboration, while the other centered around e-services.
These agreements lay a solid foundation for enhanced cooperation in the ICT sector and the digitization of public services.
The signing of these MoUs marks a momentous milestone in strengthening ICT cooperation and driving the advancement of digital public services.
The resulting partnership holds immense potential, particularly for the expansion of Irembo.
The formalization of these partnerships builds upon the strong determination exhibited by both countries to deepen their ties, specifically in the field of ICT, following President Paul Kagame’s visit to Guinea in April 2023.
Meanwhile, a high-level delegation from the Zambian Ministry of Technology and Science, led by Minister Felix Mutati, on Monday visited Rwanda and met with Irembo executives to foster collaboration in the field of ICT.
They engaged in extensive discussions about Irembo and explored potential partnerships.
