I&M Bank Rwanda has announced a major upgrade to its Mastercard card processing platform, aiming to improve the overall payment experience for its customers.
The upgrade process will commence on September 20th, 2024, and will involve issuing new Mastercard cards to all active cardholders.
In a statement issued to customers, I&M Bank emphasized that this initiative is part of its broader commitment to offering more efficient and secure banking services.
“We are constantly seeking ways to enhance the quality of service we provide to our customers. This platform upgrade will significantly improve the security, speed, and overall functionality of our Mastercard services,” said Daniel Musafiri the bank’s Chief Commercial Officer.
The upgrade will involve the issuance of new Mastercard cards to all active cardholders. Customers can expect to be contacted by the bank in the coming weeks with details on how their new cards will be delivered.
The new cards are expected to offer enhanced security features and improved functionality for both online and in-store transactions.
“This upgrade will allow us to streamline card processing and provide a more seamless payment experience for our valued customers,” the CCO added. “Our goal is to ensure that our customers can make payments safely and efficiently, whether they are shopping online or conducting transactions in-store.”
