Bona Mugabe’s marriage is reportedly collapsing as the daughter of late President Robert Mugabe has also filed for divorce.
A source quoted by local press said that divorce summons were filed Tuesday morning at the Harare High Court.
“Her lawyers indeed filed the summons today (Tuesday) at the High Court,” said the source.
According to local press in Harare, Bona Mugabe married Simba Chikowore on March 2014 at a larvish wedding at the family’s private home in the capital Harare. The wedding which was broadcast on ZBC reportedly cost U$4 million.
She claims her marriage to Mr. Simba has broken down beyond repair and thus she is quitting. The couple has three children.
In 2015, there were reports that Bona’s marriage was on the rocks and former president Mugabe had intervened cautioning his son in law who was accused of adultery.
