President Paul Kagame is back in the seat after an overwhelming victory with 98.63% (6,650,722) of the votes, defeating independent candidate Phillippe Mpayimana who got 0.73% (49,117) of the votes and the Democratic Green Party of Rwanda candidate Frank Habineza who got 0.47% (31,633) of the votes.
