The waiting is finally over, as DRC’s Women Leopards Face off Against Atlas Lionesses of Morocco today at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat.
The Match will be played at exactly 8 p.m. this Wednesday.
“It’s not us who have the pressure, it’s Morocco who does,” says DRC coach Hervé Happy, noting that “they’re the host country, and they drew the first match. The pressure is on them. And for us, that should free us up to say that there’s really room for us to win this match.”
Hervé added, “They’re the host country. If they don’t win, it could become a problem.” It’s easier for us to play this match more relaxed, knowing that it doesn’t stop us from being more determined because we also want to win this match.”
Hervé, who suffered a tactical beating by his Senegalese colleague Mame Moussa Cissé: has been working to get his players back on track.
He has reassured his team that they are all “in a state of revenge.” Putting his squad in “the best possible frame of mind to approach this match and telling ourselves that we want to win this match at all costs” is “that,” in short, informs the Franco-Cameroonian, “a tiny bit of the state of mind” that drives his entire squad.
