Rwandan Peacekeepers Provide Free Medical Care to Over 170 Residents in Central African Republic

Rwandan peacekeepers serving under the United Nations mission in the Central African Republic have carried out a humanitarian medical outreach, offering free healthcare services to residents in Boali District.

The contingent, known as RWABAT-2, organized the initiative at the headquarters of Boali District in the Sous-Prefecture of Boali.

During the exercise, more than 174 patients were examined and treated for a range of medical conditions, receiving essential medicines and professional care.

Local authorities welcomed the intervention, highlighting its positive impact on the community.

The Mayor of Boali District, Mr. Youskou Camille, expressed appreciation for the initiative and commended the Rwandan peacekeepers for their continued support and strong collaboration with local residents.

The outreach reflects the broader role of UN peacekeeping forces, which extends beyond maintaining security to include humanitarian assistance and community engagement in vulnerable regions.
