The Burundi military (FNDB) has sent in a MIG helicopter into DRC to airlift hundreds of it’s soldiers killed in a daring ambush set-up by the Twirwaneho rebels allied with the AFC/M23.
Reports reaching Taarifa Investigative Desk indicate that the dead Burundi Soldiers include high ranking officers while several others are severely injured and can only be handled by specialists in Burundi referral hospitals.
“A Burundian army helicopter landed near ground zero to recover the bodies of high-ranking soldiers killed and the wounded,” a source on ground told Taarifa.
