First Lady Mrs. Jeannette Kagame has called on young people to confront today’s challenges with courage, vision and a commitment to building a better future, rather than being held back by fear or the mistakes of the past.
She made the remarks on Sunday while speaking at the Young Leaders Prayer Breakfast, where she urged young leaders to recognize their responsibility in shaping the kind of society they want to see.
Mrs. Kagame said meaningful solutions to the challenges facing communities and the country begin with individuals themselves, particularly through personal conduct, everyday decisions and the values that guide their lives.
“Solutions begin with personal conduct, daily choices and the foundation upon which we build our lives,” she said.
The First Lady also highlighted the importance of prayer and collective reflection, saying that coming together around a shared purpose or national aspiration demonstrates the values people hold and the society they seek to build.
