Bank of Kigali (BK) has launched the 2026 BK Wellness Festival, a five-day initiative dedicated to promoting healthier lifestyles, mental resilience and overall wellbeing among its employees, reinforcing the bank’s commitment to building a stronger workforce and a healthier workplace culture.

The festival brings together a range of activities designed to encourage BK staff to take greater ownership of their health, including professional health screenings and consultations, nutrition guidance, wellness sessions, healthy food options, skincare consultations and other activities aimed at supporting both physical and mental wellbeing.

The initiative is built around the recognition that employee wellbeing is closely connected to organizational success.

By creating opportunities for staff to learn, engage and adopt healthier habits, BK aims to strengthen productivity, workplace satisfaction and the overall employee experience.

Speaking during the festival, BK management reaffirmed that investing in people remains a central priority for the institution, emphasizing that employees who are physically and mentally healthy are better positioned to deliver stronger results.

“We are committed as Bank of Kigali management to your wellbeing. We really want you to be mentally strong and physically strong, so that you can deliver even good results,” the management said.

Rose Ingabire, Chief Operating Officer of Bank of Kigali, described the wellness festival as a holistic approach that goes beyond physical health by encouraging employees to embrace a balanced lifestyle.

She said the initiative encourages BK staff and the wider community to eat healthy, exercise, continue learning, build meaningful connections and actively invest in their own health.

“Taking care of our people is at the heart of building a stronger organization and a stronger country,” Ingabire said, reaffirming that the wellbeing of BK employees remains a key pillar of the institution’s long-term growth.

The 2026 BK Wellness Festival also provides a platform for employees to access expert guidance and practical tools that can help them make healthier choices in their daily lives.

Through consultations, interactive activities and wellness-focused experiences, participants are encouraged to view health as an ongoing investment rather than an occasional priority.

The festival reflects BK’s broader commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace where employees feel valued, supported and empowered to perform at their best.

With the message “A healthier BK starts with all of us,” the initiative highlights the shared responsibility between the institution and its employees in creating a healthier, happier and more productive Bank of Kigali community.
