Members of RPF-Inkotanyi and friends of the organisation living in Europe met in Warsaw, Poland, for a retreat that included discussions on strengthening social cohesion and contributing to Rwanda’s development.
The second day, on Saturday, October 31, focused on the role of Rwandans abroad in the country’s transformation. The gathering brought together young party members from 19 European countries, according to local media reports.
RPF Secretary-General Christophe Bazivamo urged participants to use their skills, knowledge and resources to support Rwanda’s development and its Vision 2050 goals.
He said achieving the country’s ambition to eliminate poverty by 2050 would require faster economic growth and contributions from Rwandans at home and abroad.
A panel themed “From Heritage to Responsibility” explored how young Rwandans could draw on opportunities and experience in their countries of residence to contribute to Rwanda.
